While using Erlang components to build an erlang app release, I ran into trouble: The reltool utility breaks due to a broken symlink within /usr/lib/erlang. Specifically, manpages-dev on my system provides a symlink: /usr/share/man/man3/cerfcf.3.gz -> cerf.3.gz However, /usr/share/man/man3/cerf.3.gz is provided by libcerf-doc and manpages-dev does not depend on this package. /usr/lib/erlang itself links into /usr/share/man - which is expected. It's the broken symlink that is the problem. The workaround I chose was to install libcerf-doc.
