Package: dpkg-dev Version: 1.17.23 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
I've run into this problem when trying to generate dpkg packages using non-standard dpkg admin dir. I've noticed that dpkg-shlibdeps doesn't fully honour --admindir parameter, since its internal call to dpkg --search isn't provided with it.
