Package: awscli Version: 1.7.0-1 Severity: minor Dear Maintainer,
I recently upgraded awscli from 1.4.2 to 1.7.0 and found that I could not run it, instead I got the following error: $ aws help Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/bin/aws", line 15, in <module> import awscli.clidriver File "/usr/share/awscli/awscli/clidriver.py", line 23, in <module> from botocore import parsers ImportError: cannot import name 'parsers' botocore.parsers was introduced in botocore 0.64 and the version I had on the system was 0.62 (version on testing currently) python3-botocore packages have been provided for versions 0.69 and 0.81. I installed 0.81 which is now on unstable and the error disappeared. Please update awscli's dependency to one of these recent versions.
