I too had this issue, and found that I am running python2.7 (ls -l /usr/bin/python points to python2.7)
I installed python-uno, which replaced python3-uno and worked around the problem. Some time I will try updating alternatives to make python3 the default, but I have a service to prepare and do not wish to disturb a working system -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
