I think I should withdraw this report. This was not a issue with fonts-misaki package - but just happens to occur only with this package.
Upstream Misaki TTF is provided in two forms: 1. outline-based TTF 2. embedded bitmap-based TTF GD seems to work only with #1 type TTF, and fails with #2. I got an error with fonts-misaki only, because all other installed fonts were #1 type. Since #2 type should give better result for certain usecase of Misaki, I guess keeping fonts-misaki in #2 form is better. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
