This issue has already been reported by Jonathan Clark on 2011-12-07, as https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gridengine/+bug/901308. But as it doesn't seem to have been addressed at the moment (not even a reply), I tend to think that it hasn't been reported at the right place (?), and that's why I report it here : "Using Job Submission Verifiers (JSV) requires support scripts in the $SGE_ROOT/util directory (see http://wikis.sun.com/display/gridengine62u3/Writing+JSV+Scripts) . This directory is not installed by the gridengine-master package, preventing use of JSV's (and perhaps other functionality)." As I recently attempted to replace a manual gridengine-master install with an automated install with the gridengine-master, I discovered that gridengine-master is missing the job submit verification utilities that can be found in sge 6.2u5. In order to make my job submit verification scripts usable, I had to "hack" my gridengine-master install by adding the missing pieces from sge 6.2u5 (some in $SGE_ROOT/util, and some others in $SGE_ROOT/utilbin).
