I'm a bit reluctant to make caff non-interactive by default, and would rather let users specify the MUA and their options themselves, rather than hardcoding a bunch of supported MUAs in caff. My 'mail-cmd' proposal above seems to achieve the same thing (let users interact with their MUA to add personal messages or something). It should also support any MUA that can get body, attachment, subject and recipient from the command line. And it's not hard to implement :-); I can probably hack something up in the next couple of days if people are interested.
