Package: ntp Version: 1:4.2.6.p5+dfsg-2+deb7u1 I did a preseeded installation of wheezy with d-i clock-setup/ntp-server string ntp.uk.xensource.com
This was honoured during installation, but after installation the real system has *.debian.pool.ntp.org in its ntp.conf. This is obviously not desirable. This bug against clock-setup in Ubuntu seems to be the same complaint: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/clock-setup/+bug/388343 I'm not sure where exactly this should be fixed. ntp.conf is a dpkg-handled conffile in ntp in wheezy so I think at the very least ntp needs to change.
