I'm using mutt with maildirs on the local disk and some maildirs mounted over sshfs. Moving mails to sshfs-mounted-maildirs does not work with sshfs of Debian Jessie, but results in an endless-loop where even Ctrl-C does not help; it worked with sshfs of Debian Squeeze. Details / steps to reproduce: - Use mutt of Debian Wheezy and create a local maildir. - Create a maildir on a remote host with Debian Jessie and mount this maildir over sshfs. - Try to move a mail with mutt from the local maildir to the sshfs-mounted-maildir. - mutt now moves the mail to tmp/ of the sshfs-mounted-maildir. - Then, mutt tries to rename the mail from tmp/ to cur/. It is successful but thinks something went wrong and tries again and again and again. - The remote maildir will now be filled with thousands of hardlinks to the same mail, until you kill mutt (Ctrl-C does not help).
