Package: git
Version: 1:2.1.4-2.1
Severity: normal
File: /usr/share/bash-completion/completions/git

Completion for many git commands (such as git log or git diff) spews
error messages on top of the current command line if not in a git
repository. However, several git commands do actually make sense
outside a git repository; for instance, "git diff --no-index
--color-words /path/to/file1 /path/to/file2". I noticed this issue when
running that and trying to complete the filenames.
