With my turses sponsor / uploader hat on, I don't object to turses being removed; you're right that its RC bug (dependency on oauth2) has been open for a long time. That said, it looks like upstream removed the dependency in January, and so if someone desperately wants to keep turses in Debian (the closest alternative in the archives is "ttytter"), I'm willing to sponsor an upload.
