Package: cryptmount
Version: 5.0-2
Severity: important

Hello.

After taking the steps, as root, required to "prepare" the encrypted
filesystem (using a file as "virtual" device), root can issue the
"cryptmount" command and it works as expected (filesystem mounted, with
approporiate permissions). As a normal user however, I get the following
error message:
---CUT---
Failed to open keyfile "/home/gilles/mnt/astropc1/backup_eccen.img" for target
"backup_gilles"
Failed to extract cipher key
---CUt---

>From the description, it looks similar to #759263 which IIUC should be fixed
in the version I'm using...

Here is the excerpt from "cmtab":
---CUT---
backup_gilles {
  dev=/home/gilles/mnt/astropc1/backup_eccen.img
  dir=/mnt/backup/gilles
  loop=auto
  fstype=ext4     mountoptions=defaults
  cipher=aes-cbc-plain
  keyformat=luks
}
---CUT---

Best regards,
Gilles
