I can investigate it and/or give you a login to a console of the box running d-i. Can you give me a debugging howto for devfs -- how can I check if the script runs? The script is not enabled in the installed system, since we don't use devfs filenames in debian outside d-i. I could try to enable it in the installed system I guess. -- see shy jo
