I am an official representant from the MakeHuman crew.
The version currently in debian repositories is a several years old alpha. It is not stable. It is not fit for use. It is not supported. It is not endorsed by the MakeHuman crew.
Unless bug #751755 is solved, the most efficient way to handle all bugs related to the makehuman package currently in the debian repositories would be to remove the package altogether.
