I’m sorry that this isn’t a proper patch, this is the first time I’m having
to suggest modifications to someone else’s library.
I found that the wvstrutils included as part of this package include a
whitespace trimming function (that’s even used elsewhere in the file.
Here’s the unidiff for my proposed change:
