I just tried to reproduce the problem in an up-to-date jessie chroot where sysvinit-core and systemd is installed. "man init" opens the sysvinit provided man page. Which version of man-db do you have installed? Can you still reproduce the issue? -- Why is it that all of the instruments seeking intelligent life in the universe are pointed away from Earth?
