Package: vncsnapshot
Version: 1.2a-5.1+b1
Severity: normal
Dear Maintainer,
Whenever I try to follow the instructions in the EXAMPLES section of the
man page on how to use it as a listening server ("vncsnapshot -listen 0
portrait.jpeg Wait for a server to connect to this host (using
"screen" 0), and then save the full screen image in portrait.jpeg."), it
segfaults as soon as a connection is made.
This happens both on 32-Bit and 64-Bit Wheezy, as well as on 64-Bit Jessie.
(Probably on 32-Bit Jessie, too, but I don't have such a system around to test.)
To connect I've tried using RealVNC server 4.1.2.0 (winvnc4.exe) as well as
UltraVNC Server 1.1.9.6, both on a Windows 7 x32 machine. The result is the
same.
*** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where appropriate ***
