Well, a new fontforge version also seems to be needed for building DejaVu fonts, which are requested for CJK languages. As a consequence, I want to get input from the fontforge package maintainer: Chanop, do you plan to upload a newer fontforge as Peter Cernak requested in #335263. This would help to solve several issues related to the new graphical installer for Debian.
