Powder saves its files (like characters and save files) directly in the home folder.
This was originally reported in Ubuntu as https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/powder/+bug/1078455
The reporter suggests that building the package with the flag `--use-home-dir` should store these files in ~/.powder/ which might be more expected behaviour, but I have not verified this.
