I tried with weekend and do not observe segfault at startup anymore.
It seems the bug is fixed in the last upload. Marking as such in the BTS.

Will do it if I experiment such segfault again.
PS: when I start icedove in a terminal, I see lots (about 30) of lines such as
"Error: Couldn't find /softwarestudio.org/Olson_20011030_5/Europe/Paris"
Is it a problem that requires a bug report?
