I installed a clean wheezy VM, installed krb5-kdc krb5-admin-server krb5-config krb5-user in a single apt-get transaction, ran krb5_newrealm to set up a realm,then took the jessie update via s/wheezy/jessie/g in /etc/apt/sources.list; apt-get update; apt-get dist-upgrade. I chose the "restart services automatically" option, and the upgrade went cleanly. I assume that you had a realm configured and running before attempting the update?
