BiDi usually stands for covering all text handling issues when parts of the text are not written left to right. The Official Unicode Bidirectional Algorithm document is here: http://www.unicode.org/reports/tr9/ You can maybe get help from the libfribidi0 maintainer, namely Baruch Even <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>.
