Hello Thomas

When preparing a database according to
/usr/share/doc/libapache2-mod-log-sql/manual.html one get:

mysql -p apachelogs
mysql> source create_tables.sql
Query OK, 0 rows affected (0.18 sec)
Query OK, 0 rows affected (0.15 sec)
Query OK, 0 rows affected (0.13 sec)
Query OK, 0 rows affected (0.12 sec)
Query OK, 0 rows affected (0.13 sec)
ERROR 1064 (42000): You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the
manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right
syntax to use near 'TYPE=MyISAM' at line 17

This is a debian-specific bug introduced in 1.100-15.
The fix looks trivial: just remove "TYPE=MyISAM".
