Hi Rafael, You have tagged this RC bug as wontfix. Unfortunately: * An RC bug is still an RC bug even if it is tagged wontfix. E.g. it still counts against the Stretch release. => It needs either a resolution or a downgrade. I do not know all the details of the bug, so I am possibly not the best to give advice on how to deal with this case. That said: * If this is caused by following a proper oldoldstable => oldstable => stable and octave packages simply failed to properly ensure the removal of the package being replaced, then the bug is valid and open. => In this case consider backporting a fix to Jessie for 8.2. * If we are dealing with a "oldoldstable => stable" jump without upgrading to oldstable first, then it is a known unsupported case and the bug can be closed. => If desired, you /might/ still be able to get a backported fix approved for Jessie. Though I am not sure if the SRMs agree on this. Thanks, ~Niels -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
