Package: backintime-gnome
Version: 1.0.36-1
Followup-For: Bug #783386

Hallo,

Context:
- Installing backintime-gnome,
- and starting the root version from the menu,
- choosing anacron
gives no errors, but doesn't do anything

Remarks:
- some files are created under /var/spool (with a 15 minute repeat?)
- no file(s) are created under /etc/cron.daily
- there is a reference to ~/.config/..

I think in this last remark to problem lies,
starting backintime-gnome from the terminal as root does activate the cron job;
starting it from the menu doesn't unless activate the cron job.
(or changing the menu entry to run it within a terminal also solves it, but
will show debug/error info)

hth,
Wim
