I can link two jabber contacts to one meta-contact, so I don't think
there is general problem with empathy.
When I try to link skype contact I see that some skype contact linked,
but with some UUID in it, and original contact have different UUID. If I
link it multiply times multiply contacts linked with different UUID's in
name.
