Hi. Me too have the same problem. I'm using debian jessie.

I temporary found a workaround by:
* opening nm-connection-editor
* opening the mobile broadband connection details
* confirming the same information

Once these steps are done, I'm able to connect by clicking on "Connect"
menu in network manager applet.

This is very annoying to practice every time I need to connect, so
I kindly ask you if you were able to investigate more on this issue.
