I had a similar problem with DRAWxtl (see the debian-science list). There is an incompatible change in freeglut3 with upstream version 2.4.0. Larry finger said: | I am now understanding this error a little better. Martin Kroeker | pointed out this note from the 2.4.0 release announcement at | freeglut.sourceforge.net: | | "Users should note a new incompatibility with GLUT, in which GLUT | allowed the application to call some functions before 'glutInit' was | called. This is contrary to both good programming practice and the GLUT | documentation, and the new 'freeglut' enforces the initial call to | 'glutInit'". Could it be the problem here too?
