Package: firefox
Version: 1.5.dfsg-2
Severity: important

Firefox is one step ahead on the road of getting printing completely wrong.
Now, it pops up a dialog which supposedly should get the printer's profile
from CUPS, but screws that up. Royally. And I cannot even fix this dumbass
software by telling it to call xpp instead of lpr (xpp does things right).

The result of the "new printer support" is that NONE of the printer's
capabilities are available since firefox screws that up, BUT now firefox
refuses to print at all just because my printer has a4 paper and I cannot
get even the fucking postscript/generic driver (which should support ALL
paper sizes, damn it!) to work. [EMAIL PROTECTED] PoS software thinks that even
postscript/generic must support only letter-sized paper!

And the Debian paperconfig default in this machine is a4 just to add insult
to the injury.

I am not sure if you guys are aware, but letter size is NOT a good way to
try to print on a4 paper (it causes information loss), which is used in most
of the world. If firefox is going to pretend it knows about printing, it
must get at least THAT much right.

Please remove all "intelligent printing" crap from firefox until it is ready
for use. Let us use xpp or kprint or something else that actually works for
now.
