No, this is not working for me. After doing
apt-get source rdesktop
cd rdesktop-1.8.2 && ./configure --disable-credssp --disable-smartcard &&
make
~/rdesktop-1.8.2$ ./rdesktop myserver.win7_2008.local
There is still no remote connection.
The problem after installing rdesktop from testing
sudo apt-get -t testing install rdesktop
Then
rdesktop myserver.win7_2008.local
opens the desired connection; although it still presents the following message
on the terminal.

Connection established using SSL.
disconnect: Invalid licensing message.
