Andrew,
The GTK Widget Factory (in Debian, this application is in the
"thewidgetfactory" package) is linked against GTK 2; it is just a simple
app to show how various graphic elements look in a particular skin.
However, I am observing precisely the same behavior with applications
linked against GTK 3 as well, such as evince or gnome-terminal.
Best regards,
Peter

With Gnome 3.16, the window decorations (borders, top bar, window buttons) from
the Clearlooks-Phenix theme are not applied. Instead, these graphical elements
resemble the Adwaita theme. I am attaching a snapshot of the Gtk Widget Factory
window to show how the Clearlooks-Phenix theme applies to my system. Frankly, I
was much more comfortable with the narrower blueish Phenix top bar and window
buttons.
Is this behavior intentional, or is this a glitch?
Is this a GTK 3 or GTK 2 application? If it's GTK 2, it means
something has changed in Metacity.
