Package: xul-ext-gcontactsync Version: 1.0.0-1 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
I have enabled 2 factor authentication on my Gmail account. Due to that, I had to create a separate application-specific password for Thunderbird to be able to access Gmail via IMAP and SMTP. But when I did that, gcontactsync addon was no longer able to sync contacts. It complained that I had to be logged in to sync contacts. I uninstalled this package and installed the latest version from Mozilla addons website - 2.0.5. I added my existing Gmail account to that and it popped up the Gmail login page in a window and on login asked permission to access and manage my contacts. Once that was done, it was able to sync the contacts without any issues. -- System Information: Debian Release: stretch/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 4.0.0-2-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_IN.utf8, LC_CTYPE=en_IN.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
