Package: doomsday Version: 1.14.5-2 Severity: normal Hi,
doomsday-compat is registered as alternative for /usr/games/heretic & /usr/games/hexen; still, when running these commands, Doomsday is is started in Ring-0 mode. doomsday-compat needs to check the value of "$(basename $0)" and pick the game mode accordingly; if nothing match, it should default to doom2 mode. Here is a list of applicables modes copied from man page: heretic-share Shareware Heretic heretic Registered Heretic heretic-ext Heretic: Shadow of the Serpent Riders hexen Hexen v1.1 hexen-dk Hexen: Death Kings of Dark Citadel hexen-demo The 4-level Hexen Demo I can provide a patch, but this would obviously conflict with the one linked to #787985.
