Hi Vincent, Thanks for the information. In this case, I'll change my request to be that I would like to temporarily forget about the version in experimental and for now upload 1.0.5-2 to unstable. Then I could make a bug on r.d.o without bypassing unstable, and any future updates to the unstable version would incorporate this patch or eventually some alternative fix.
The thing that's unclear to me is the timeframe - will the deletion from testing cause any problems? My usual sponsor for this package (Eriberto) doesn't seem to be around at the moment and I was hoping that somebody else would be willing to sponsor this upload in the meantime since it's a small targeted change which should be easy to understand without knowing a lot of context about the package.
