I've already commented on the corresponding Ubuntu bug report [1],
but it looks like this issue has already been resolved.
The changes done to src/gtksourceiter.h for version version 0.8.18.1 [2]
looks identical to the attached patch.
I therefore believe this issue can be considered fixed.
