The 2.4.x and on versions of e-d-s contains the Exchange server communication code, evolution-exchange can not be built or work without these changes. To quote upstream. http://mail.gnome.org/archives/evolution-hackers/2005-June/msg00062.html "I have created a new subdirectory under e-d-s/servers called "exchange" which would have the Exchange server communication code. To have this built with e-d-s, you need to configure e-d-s with Kerberos [ krb5 ] and LDAP. The Kerberos dependency is a bit less stronger than the LDAP dependency. So, i have added a check in configure.in to enable Exchange only if e-d-s is configured with LDAP. This would help the build breaks people are seeing with plain vanilla configure of e-d-s. The exchange plugins in evolution and the evolution-exchange module would depend on the libexchange-storage.pc generated as part of e-d-s. So, the steps to enable Exchange support in your new [ 2.3 onwards ] version of Evolution, you need to take care of the following things. 1. In evolution-data-server, use the configure option --with-krb5=/usr [ or the install path of kerberos on your machine. ] 2. In evolution-data-server, use the confifure option --with-openldap=/opt/evo-openldap [ or the install path of Openldap on your machine which has the NTLM patch applied to it. ]" I updated the packages and tested them. they are here. http://the-penguin.otak.com/~lawrence/tao -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.15-rc5-mm3 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) Versions of packages evolution-data-server depends on: ii libaudiofile0 0.2.6-6 Open-source version of SGI's audio ii libbonobo2-0 2.10.1-1 Bonobo CORBA interfaces library ii libc6 2.3.5-9 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libcamel1.2-6 1.4.1.1-1 The Evolution MIME message handlin ii libcomerr2 1.38+1.39-WIP-2005.12.10-1 common error description library ii libdb4.2 4.2.52-23 Berkeley v4.2 Database Libraries [ ii libebook1.2-5 1.4.1.1-1 Client library for evolution addre ii libecal1.2-3 1.4.1.1-1 Client library for evolution calen ii libedata-book 1.4.1.1-1 Backend library for evolution addr ii libedata-cal1 1.4.1.1-1 Backend library for evolution cale ii libedataserve 1.4.1.1-1 Utility library for evolution data ii libegroupwise 1.4.1.1-1 Client library for accessing group ii libesd-alsa0 0.2.36-1 Enlightened Sound Daemon (ALSA) - ii libgconf2-4 2.12.1-5 GNOME configuration database syste ii libgcrypt11 1.2.2-1 LGPL Crypto library - runtime libr ii libglib2.0-0 2.8.4-2 The GLib library of C routines ii libgnome2-0 2.12.0.1-2 The GNOME 2 library - runtime file ii libgnomevfs2- 2.12.2-1 The GNOME virtual file-system libr ii libgnutls11 1.0.16-14 GNU TLS library - runtime library ii libgpg-error0 1.1-4 library for common error values an ii libkrb53 1.4.3-4 MIT Kerberos runtime libraries ii libldap2 2.1.30-12 OpenLDAP libraries ii liborbit2 1:2.12.4-1 libraries for ORBit2 - a CORBA ORB ii libpopt0 1.7-5 lib for parsing cmdline parameters ii libsoup2.2-8 2.2.6-1 an HTTP library implementation in ii libtasn1-2 0.2.17-1 Manage ASN.1 structures (runtime) ii libxml2 2.6.22-2 GNOME XML library ii zlib1g 1:1.2.3-9 compression library - runtime Versions of packages evolution-data-server recommends: ii evolution 2.4.1-3 The groupware suite -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
