Dear Maintainer, did further testing. Issue does not occur when running application in KDE on jessie. I'll switch to KDE as my desktop environment and will consider the issue as solved. If you however want to investigate this bug, please contact me and I'll keep the Gnome environment installed to test possible fixes.
