(should no longer be an FTBFS, though I haven't tested it)
I've worked around both of these problems on my side for now for the sake of the GCC 5 transition, but may want to revisit them once that's settled down.
Does that mean FLTK+cmake users should start build-depending on libcairo2-dev (at least fgrun is due a new upstream release soon), or that you're hoping to make the cmake file stop doing this? (Debian generally prefers linking to only direct dependencies, https://wiki.debian.org/ToolChain/DSOLinking, but I don't know how practical this is in this case.)
