Package: isc-dhcp-client Version: 4.3.1-6 Severity: important Dear Maintainer,
The dchp client on 64-bit installations fails with "Unable to set up timer: out of range" and then exits when the max lease time is given (~135years). This bug was fixed in Fedora under Red Hat bug 789601 (http://pkgs.fedoraproject.org/cgit/dhcp.git/commit/?id=bd413ec3f9585ff8ccb8a5a66097fab53a8f5fe4) This was also fixed in Ubuntu. You can find a clear description and solution in the following Ubuntu bug report: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/isc-dhcp/+bug/1189571 Issue was also reported here a while ago, but I guess no bug was filed that I could find: http://lists.alioth.debian.org/pipermail/pkg-dhcp-devel/2013-July/001822.html -- System Information: Debian Release: 8.1 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.16.0-4-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages isc-dhcp-client depends on: ii debianutils 4.4+b1 ii iproute2 3.16.0-2 ii isc-dhcp-common 4.3.1-6 ii libc6 2.19-18 ii libdns-export100 1:9.9.5.dfsg-9+deb8u2 ii libirs-export91 1:9.9.5.dfsg-9+deb8u2 ii libisc-export95 1:9.9.5.dfsg-9+deb8u2 isc-dhcp-client recommends no packages.
