Since nothing else has changed in between, I guess the problem could be caused by upgrade from whatever version of ppp I had before to the current version? However, I do not know which version of ppp I was running earlier. It was not fom ubuntu, since I do an apt-get upgrade about once a month, against sid. -- Mahesh T.
