Package: nm.debian.org
Severity: minor

I tried to apply to become DD. My key expired recently and because I'm
currently not able to extend its lifetime I wanted to apply with the
expired key and extend the lifetime later.

Doing so gave me the warning that my key expires soon, which is
likely wrong, because I will either not extend the lifetime, so the
key won't expire at all, or I will extend it, in which case I will
likely not extend the lifetime for a short duration.

When submitting the form (because well, it's just a warning) I ran
into a 500 Internal Server error, that was likely caused by gpg, not
being able to encrypt the confirmation e-mail with an expired key.

While this doesn't affect the functionality of the process, it would
be nice if it would be handled with proper warnings/errors.

Regards
Sven
