We believe that the bug you reported is fixed in the latest version of
vim-latexsuite, which is due to be installed in the Debian FTP archive.

This updated version in sid is not installable due to a new dependency 
on "python2", which doesn't exist in the archive; I suspect that 
dependency should be "python2.7" instead.
