Hi Bernd, I'd like to move the merkaartor packaging to the Debian GIS team so we can update it with the new upstream development.
As you're an Admin of pkg-grass on Alioth I doubt that's an issue, but I like to get your opinion first. Merkaartor 0.18.1 doesn't support GDAL 2.0, hence the need for the new upstream releases.
