I don't see that there even is any package "mythtv" in Debian.

Are you using some 3rd party repository? MythTV depend on
mysql-server-virtual, which can be satisfied with any version or
variant of mysql. If MythTV really only accepts certain mysql-server
package, then you should file a bug against MythTV.
