Thanks! However the "fix" in https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1491211 is wrong. There is no "Enigmail - Preferences - Signing/Encryption options" in up-to-date jessie stable. The only config setting is on the icedove account -> Account Settings -> OpenPGP Security -> uncheck Encrypt draft messages on saving. Maybe it's a bug that settings are in these two very different places? Ralph
