Hi Giancarlo,
This is my first attempt to help on QA and it seems I couldn't have
picked up a worse package.
I beg your pardon for the newbish mistakes.

I don't see the tarball there...
maybe you want to ask Joey to upload it?
Somehow, dch --qa automatically pushes the minor version up. I have
realized it just now,
by testing is again in a new directory. Is there a way I could do the
QA work without changing
the tarball version?
Joey has, unfortunately, stopped maintaining alien, as stated here [1].
control/rules file: why do you b-d on quilt?
I'll check it again, as it was probably a mistake made by me, but
debuild only got _satistied_
once I did that.
vcs-git
git clone git://git.kitenet.net/alien
Cloning into 'alien'...
fatal: remote error: access denied or repository not exported: /alien
alien-8.94/debian/.pc/.quilt_patches 1970-01-01 01:00:00.000000000 +0100
can you please strip the .pc directory? I guess it is useless.
Sure, I can.
please also if you have a native package consider to patch it directly instead
of having separate patches.
(or a mix, like in this case)
Having two separate patches to perform two (very) distinct fixes sounded
a good idea to me.
I'm not really sure about how to handle native packages, so I thought
I'd better not touch it,
so that I wouldn't introduce any new bugs. Anyways, note taken! Thank
you! ;-)
BTW what about start maintaining it upstream too? :)
I'll think about that when I find an orphan package written in a
programming language I'm more used to. I promise! :)
cheers,
G.
