Hello, I also frequently run into this bug since Plasma5, also with the new
version of kde-runtime.
I also have an easy way to reproduce: In Audex, there is the option to "Search
Codecs". When I click that,
I always get the Knotify crash notification, and no codes are added.

Trying to click the "Search Codecs" button in the settings dialog of audex.

Nothing helps, it seems...

Codes were not added...

The the codes available on my systems are added to the audex settings
