Package: util-linux
Version: 2.25.2-6
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

   * What led up to the situation?
A normal reboot where at least one filesystem has reached the check
interval time ("Next check after" date in dumpe2fs).
   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?
"sudo reboot" with a filesystem in following state:

        Mount count: 5
        Maximum mount count: 30
        Last checked: Fri Sep 13 00:00:00 2013
        Check interval: 86400 (1 day)
Next check after: Sat Sep 14 00:00:00 2013

"The interval was set to 1 day and the last check time was set to two
years ago before to test it"
   * What was the outcome of this action?
        No filesystem check executed
   * What outcome did you expect instead?
The filesystem check should be executed

I've checked the /etc/fstab file, the passno is set to 1 for the filesystem
mentioned above.
Furthermore i've rebooted the system and jumped to the grub console where I
executed the date command and got a correct result, so the hardware clock seems
to be correct.
If the maximum mount count is reached the check will be executed correctly.

Please move it to another package if this one may be the wrong one.
