Package: nut Version: 2.7.2-4 By default, NUT turns the UPS off when shutting down the system. This is apparently caused by the file /lib/systemd/system-shutdown/nutshutdown. Commenting out this file solves the problem, but I think this behavior shouldn't be enabled by default, for the following reasons:
-It turns off the UPS even when rebooting - so the reboot fails. -Many users have other devices connected to the UPS and it's not always desired to turn them all off. UPS model in my case is Powerware 5115 connected via USB. The computer is Thinkpad X21, running Debian 8 with kernel 3.16.0-4-686-pae. I was instructed to report this to Debian BTS by one of the developers of NUT.
