It's permitted but it might be a good thing to see /etc/cron.d/debsecan appear in dpkg -L and dpkg -S outputs. I was just wondering why I received mails from debsecan at regular intervals, made "dpkg -L debsecan | grep /etc/cron" and seen nothing. It's just confusing. -- Cyril Bouthors
